Get over your fears of pattern-making in this 1 day workshop!

Foam sheet such as plastazote is used in all sorts of puppets, props and cosplay making. In this workshop we’ll go through the steps to take you from a 3D object or sculpt, to a plastazote replication.

We’ll cover the whole process, including:

• Identifying the pattern shapes in a sculpted piece.

• Creating basic 3D shapes from flat material.

• Tips, tricks and cheats for when your pattern goes wrong!

• Approaches when using different foams and materials.

• A variety of options for painting, covering and finishing your pieces.

Online participants will be required to gather some tools and materials to participate. These will include cardboard, scissors, a craft knife, plastazote sheet, contact adhesive, tape, and some other supplies which will be confirmed 3 weeks before the workshop dates.
